Polish fashion blooms with new, fresh talents. And the wave of Polish influence starts to be strongly perceived on the international fashion scene. Here, I want to present you the three most exciting, emerging labels coming from around Poland.
Diana Jankiewicz – this designer studied fashion design in Milan and worked as Richard Nicoll’s studio manager in London. In 2013, she has decided to move back to her hometown – Warsaw and started her own brand. Using knowledge and experience she gained while living in world’s fashion capitals and the skills of polish craftsmen, she creates collections that are not only unique but also perfectly made. The coats are all about precision while the minimal, but effective maxi dresses are flawless. Note the white coat with orange veinings.
BOHO – Boho is a clothing brand founded by Małgosia Bochenek (a mother of two boys) in 2010 in Krakow. Inspired by nature, in response to current trends she has created a line of 10 hooded shirts made from recycled fabrics. After the success of her first collection she took up the challenge to start her own business. The brand is growing dynamically by significantly expanding its offerings thereby building a large group of customers in Poland and abroad. Kept in a harmonious mood of light colours and flowers, BOHO has just opened it’s first store in Cracow. That’s a success.
Berenika Czarnota – specializing in knitwear and prints, Berenika is simply fantastic. Currently working and living in Germany, she made her debut as fashion designer in 2008. Her trademark designs include mulit-coloured prints and over-sized sweaters and accessories, which are mind-blowing. Berenika focuses primarily on the quality of fabric and yarn, from which she produces her clothes.
